Springboard’s Paul Rosenblatt to Lecture at New York Center for Architecture
Springboard’s Principal Paul Rosenblatt AIA has been invited to lecture at the Center for Architecture in New York City. The lecture, entitled ‘ Every Building A Museum,’ is scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 2012.
Le Corbusier was wrong. Houses are not machines for living, they are museums. In fact, to architect Paul Rosenblatt AIA, Founding Principal of Springboard Design, every building is a museum. In a provocative talk that challenges received wisdom, Rosenblatt discusses an architectural philosophy that applies to other building types what he has learned designing museums and exhibitions. Today, all buildings are hybrids, Rosenblatt argues, and all benefit from being viewed as museums. This session will share a unique approach to practice that forms the basis of Rosenblatt’s new book, Every Building A Museum.
Location, times and more details will be available on the Center for Architecture website: http://cfa.aiany.org/index.php?section=center-for-architecture
