Halloween Party at the Carrie Furnace
Seems like everything at Springboard Design has a musical theme these days!
I wanted to let you know about a great Alfred Hitchcock-themed Halloween party coming up at the Carrie Furnaces — the old iron furnaces that are now national landmarks run by Rivers of Steel Heritage Foundation.
I’m really excited to be one of the DJs who will be spinning tunes in this incredible space! If you are a fan of great industrial architecture, cool tunes and delicious food and drink come join me for what should be a very special party. And best of all, it is for a good cause: portions of ticket sales are being donated to our wonderful hosts, Rivers of Steel, who maintain the Carrie Furnaces as a National Landmark.
Here is a link to their site: http://www.riversofsteel.com/preservation/heritage-sites/carrie-furnaces/
Tickets are $35 each. Parking on site is free, but is limited, so you need to “purchase” a free parking ticket from the eventbrite page to secure your spot. There are also buses between the Independent and the event, that will leave at 7:30 p.m. and return at 1 a.m. And a bus (or buses) from Bar Marco in the strip district that will leave at 7:30 p.m. and return at 1 a.m. Both buses require a $5 round trip ticket from eventbrite.
Tickets come with 3 $5 drink tickets. You can purchase additional drink tickets at the event for $5 each. A number of food trucks and food tents will be there offering food for purchase as well. Designated driver tickets are $20 and will have a separate color wrist band that is not eligible to purchase additional drink tickets.
