Craft Business Thursdays at Creator Square Featured in Johnstown Magazine

Did you catch us in February’s Johnstown Magazine? Springboard Design’s Creator Square was featured for its’ Craft Business Thursdays at Creator Square (CBT@CRSQ) program. The monthly series features a guest artist or maker who shares their experience, encouraging dialogue with locals, artists, makers and hopeful entrepreneurs in attendance.

“Our goal is to inspire potential applicants near and far for our artist/artisan residency program and begin to think about how their skills and interests can be transformed into businesses through small batch manufacturing approaches that lecturers in the Craft Business Thursdays @ Creator Square are using to great success.” – Paul Rosenblatt

“Creator Square is an artisan residency program developed to stimulate urban revitalization, economic development, and workforce training. The first manifestation of Creator Square is located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Creator Square Johnstown will be housed in the renovated Parkview Building, an existing historic structure that will be transformed into a community maker space and live/work studio facility.

Emerging leaders in the local and national maker community will be chosen for residencies lasting from two months to two years in duration. The program is designed to connect the dots between the region’s manufacturing heritage and contemporary advances in small batch manufacturing and maker space innovation.”
